Tennessee House passes bill to expand access to eye care

House Bill 1952/Senate Bill 2076 authorizes Doctors of Optometry to perform three safe, non-invasive procedure in-office, including YAG capsulotomy, selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) and peripheral iridotomy (PI). TAOP said the procedures restore and protect vision and do not involve general anesthesia or a surgical suite.
