Certificate of Need law could see immediate impact
Although Tennessee's new certificate of need law will not take effect until July 2028, Sen. Bo Watson told the Post that the state’s health care industry could begin responding to the coming changes before then.
"I would suspect that they would see the writing on the wall and that they wouldn't deny anyone who was seeking a certificate of need, knowing that it's going to go away anyway," Watson said.
